James Wood and Larry Mendoza passed away November 2011
Pat Pagel has been diagnosed with breast cancer. - Update from John: After having the consultation with the Doc's this morning we are both doing the "Dance of Joy". The cancer is only 8 millimeters in size so the week after Thanksgiving Pat will go in for a Lumpectomy, out patient procedure, in and out the same day. About 5 weeks later she will start radiation treatments for about 5 weeks and then she'll be on drugs. The Doc's feel very confident that this will solve the condition and be done with it. Many "THANKS" to you all for the prayers and kind words of support.

Lew Millett, Col. USA (Ret.) MOH Korea, passed away November 2009
Chuck Sanchez’ wife has been at Kaiser now fighting a life-threatening illness.
Jim Valdez just had a cataract surgery and is doing well.
John Pagel and Steve Mackey, both have had numerous skin cancers removed.
Pat Pagel is having health issues, please keep her in your prayers.
AVVA member, Sherry Hohmann has not been very ill for quite a while.
Lee Millett, Colonel Millett’s son and Sculptor of the National POW/MIA Memorial has been battling pneumonia for quite sometime.
Chapter 47 AVVA member Deb Kennedy’s mother Joanne passed away recently from pancreatic cancer. She had just been diagnosed a few weeks prior to her passing. Mike Kennedy, Chapter 47’s Vice President was Joanne’s son-in-law. Debbie’s father has just finished chemotherapy for treatment of prostate cancer.
Chapter 47 member, Glenn Waggoner's brother, James, passed away, June 27, 2008 from heart failure. James was one of ten children and a veteran of the United States Army.
Paul Adkins, lovely mother, Mary, passed away. One year prior to Mary’s death, Paul’s father passed away. Bob Spears mother passed away, also.
